Does this email sound familiar? “Hey friend, we desperately need a Product Manager do you know anyone good? – Don”   You scratch your head for a couple of minutes and conclude “Sorry, not off the top of my head. But I’ll think about it and let you know.”   A few weeks later, you run into an old friend at a cocktail party. She mentions that she’s thinking about leaving her job and is quietly interviewing somewhere that she could be a Product Manager. “Omg I should introduce you to Don”, you think.   Unfortunately, you forget to follow up the next day. It happens. Meanwhile, Don is tearing his hair out since he can’t find any good candidates[…]

drafted-greenhouse-integration

We’re launching in New York with Greenhouse.io. We released the first Drafted beta on iOS in Boston last year. One of the things that immediately struck us after launch were requests coming in from outside Boston — from people who had heard of Drafted and wanted to try it out. We worked hard at refining, adapting, evolving, (and yes, pivoting), and finally, it’s time to get Drafted in the hands of more users. Thank you to all of our early customers that have been invaluable in guiding us with their feedback.   Do you integrate with my ATS? One of the most common requests from our early customers was “Do you integrate with our ATS (Applicant Tracking System)?”. So we surveyed[…]

Job referral funnel

Yesterday I joined Drafted, to tackle our shared mission of creating the world’s best referral network. As employee No. 7, I’ll be scaling marketing and connecting great companies with great candidates through the the power of their networks. Before I joined, I spent time on vacation preparing for my new adventure: I read books by tech visionaries, fished with my family, and took early morning runs along the beach in solitude. I needed that breather: For the 43 days prior, I had been in an all-out sprint to find a role that would define the next chapter of my marketing career. While my search was the exact length of the average job search, I was fortunate to stay below the[…]

wework

Few things make us happier than learning and growing with our customers. We strongly believe  that spending time with our customers is the best way for us to feel their pain and understand their needs. I’m excited to share that we’re stepping up our relationship with our beta customers. In fact, we’re moving in with them. Several of our current and future partners are at WeWork Boston, so we decided to take the plunge as we graduated from Blade (thanks for all the fish, btw). At Drafted, we rethink everything – not just our industry and products, but also how to be a company – it’s one of the great luxuries of being a startup. Many companies think of office[…]
