We're launching in New York with Greenhouse.io.

We released the first Drafted beta on iOS in Boston last year. One of the things that immediately struck us after launch were requests coming in from outside Boston — from people who had heard of Drafted and wanted to try it out. We worked hard at refining, adapting, evolving, (and yes, pivoting), and finally, it’s time to get Drafted in the hands of more users. Thank you to all of our early customers that have been invaluable in guiding us with their feedback.

Do you integrate with my ATS?

One of the most common requests from our early customers was “Do you integrate with our ATS (Applicant Tracking System)?”. So we surveyed our customers and potential customers to figure out the highest impact product we could ship to solve this problem. We found that a whopping 60% of the companies we spoke with used Greenhouse Software, a fast growing tool used by startups and bigco’s alike. We were surprised because Greenhouse doesn’t have a 60% market share in their space (yet).

When we dove deeper, we discovered that there was a type of progressive hiring culture that was common to HR and Talent Acquisition executives interested both in Drafted and Greenhouse. There was a drive to be on the cutting edge, a drive to make recruiting better (and more fun), and a drive to use referrals and modern sourcing channels as predictable, measurable, and scalable hiring strategies.

What sets those companies apart? I would summarize it as 2 core beliefs:

  1. To build a great business, you need an exceptional team
  2. Referrals are the #1 hiring strategy
"New York, NY
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you
Hear it for New York, New York, New York!"
— Alicia Keys

New York boasts 15,000 technology startups with 5,000 job openings. Greenhouse, headquartered there, is helping companies on the East Coast build great teams that can match the valley in accomplishments.

After just a couple of conversations with the Greenhouse team, the next step was dead obvious: Find a way for Drafted to serve Greenhouse companies in New York and find a way for Greenhouse to serve Drafted customers in Boston. To that end, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Greenhouse and our launch in New York.

What does this mean?

Drafted is now available to all companies in New York.

For starters, the first 5 companies to use Drafted + Greenhouse in New York will get the custom, cutting-edge integration for free.Existing customers of Drafted + Greenhouse get the integration for free, plus 1 extra month of Drafted free when they integrate with Greenhouse. (You can read more details about how it works and the features here.)

Better together.

We're proud to be built in Boston, and also to be partnering with Greenhouse in NYC. Despite being Bostonians — aka permanently insecure of being overshadowed by New York’s industry — we hope that this will be just one of many partnerships between Boston and NYC startups.

So we’ll leave you with this closing note:

New York, you’re welcome.

(Just kidding… New York, let's build some teams together.)
